Annual Events
The Foundation has events all year long to help fund The Stuff the Bus Events. Take a look at which one’s you might be interested in going to this year!
Each June we have our official kickoff event. The Stuff the Bus Family Fun Run presented by Bowling Green Athletic Club at Chaney’s Dairy Barn. This event brings together not only competitive runners but also families of all ages to take part in this fun morning to help raise funds for the upcoming Stuff the Bus Event. In the weeks leading up to Stuff the Bus numerous Paint N’ Sip events are held at local restaurants. These provide a unique experience while connecting with new volunteers and sponsors. Come make a spring painting to hang on your wall or give as a gift! All proceeds go to the Stuff the Bus Foundation.
Starting in 2019 a one day 12 hour Social Media Telethon Fundraising event at Bluegrass Cellular on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green. Make sure to show some local support!
Need a new cell phone? Want to help your local stuff the bus? Why not do both? Go get your new cell phone during the Houchens Month of Giving! There are Mobile Sales in 55 Houchens industries Locations over 15 counties! A percent of the sales goes to Stuff the Bus Foundation!
During the Month of July Stuff the Bus teams with Dunlap RV Center of Bowling Green and Bluegrass Cellular to hit the road and visit with all the counties that are hosting Stuff the Bus Kickoff Events. We visit each county and help them with their individual events and raise awareness about needs in each specific region that we serve.
Since 2015 Stuff the Bus has teamed up with the Bowling Green Hot Rods for Stuff the Bus night at the BG Ballpark. The Hot Rods wear themed jerseys with the auctioned proceeds going to Stuff the Bus. Thru the generous efforts of the Hot Rods we have raised over $3500.00 since 2015.
Over 500 families in need were able to enjoy a nice Thanksgiving dinner through the Turkey Drop food donations. We want to extend this to Christmas dinner too!
Do you have a knac for fundraisers? Got a cool idea you want to present? Let’s talk and get the creative juices flowing! We can start an annual event that benifits Stuff the Bus while you get local recognition and advertising! It’s a win win for everyone.
